.Says: The senatorial sit belongs to APC

The Ebonyi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Stanley Okoroemegha, has said that the party was ready to file a credible and a popular candidate that would win and replace David Umahi in the forthcoming by-election in Ebonyi South Senatorial zone.
Umahi, who was reprenting the zone in the Senate, had been appointed as minister of Works by President Bola Amed Tinubu.

Emegha, who gave the assurance, while addressing newsmen in Abakaliki, insisted that the Senatorial position belonged to the APC, stressing that the party’s candidate “is popular”.
“The party is waiting for INEC to fix a date for the by-election for the Ebonyi South senatorial position.
“By-election is coming up here for the senatorial position; we are waiting for the INEC declaration to enable us do the needful. And my party will file a credible candidate, and by all standards, my party will win the election because that sit belongs to APC,” he assured.
